Workshop: Aspirational Funding Mechanisms for Global Ocean Floor Mapping & Exploration
The workshop convenes a diverse group of ocean-related funding agencies alongside innovative ocean initiatives to collaboratively explore new models for funding ocean floor exploration and surveying. Through a dynamic agenda of expert panel discussions, focused presentations, and interactive breakout sessions, participants will share insights, challenges, and opportunities from their unique perspectives. The goal is to foster creative thinking and cross-sector collaboration that can lead to novel, sustainable funding mechanisms, ultimately accelerating our understanding and stewardship of the ocean floor.

Join the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) for a 3 day annual meeting where discussions around strategy, governance, outreach, Seabed 2030 and community building will occur. Subcommittees of GEBCO will also report out their annual activities.
